Saturday War Bonnet Round Up 2026 brings Idaho’s oldest rodeo back to
Sandy Downs Arena in Idaho Falls for a Saturday night of family-friendly rodeo action,
community tradition, and Western heritage.

Now in its 115th year, the War Bonnet Round Up is a historic Idaho Falls event featuring
top rodeo talent, animal athletes, a kids rodeo, and participation from the
Shoshone-Bannock Tribes of Fort Hall.

Saturday Night Schedule

  • 4:30 PM: Parking and gates open
  • 5:45 PM: Kids rodeo begins
  • 7:00 PM: Main rodeo begins
  • Around 10:00 PM: Event ends

Seating Information

New for 2026: reserved seating is available in the grandstands for an additional cost.
General admission tickets guarantee entry into the arena, but do not guarantee a seat.

  • Reserved grandstand seats: Assigned seating available for purchase.
  • General admission bleachers: First-come, first-served seating only.
  • Guests who want a bleacher seat are encouraged to arrive when gates open at 4:30 PM.

Child Tickets

  • Child tickets are available for kids ages 12 and under.
  • Children under age 2 who can sit on an adult’s lap do not need a ticket.
  • Child tickets are not valid for reserved grandstand seating.
  • If a child needs a reserved seat, a reserved grandstand ticket must be purchased for them.

About the War Bonnet Round Up

First started in 1911, the War Bonnet Round Up has grown into one of eastern Idaho’s most beloved traditions.
Today, more than 500 cowboys and cowgirls compete each summer in front of more than 15,000 rodeo fans.

The City of Idaho Falls and the Parks & Recreation Department are honored to continue this historic rodeo
and to maintain its important cultural legacy, including the long-standing participation of the
Shoshone-Bannock Tribes of Fort Hall.

This is a PRCA-sanctioned event designed to bring excellent rodeo competition to Idaho Falls
in a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere.

Event Rules & Policies

  • No outside food is allowed.
  • Only clear water bottles with seals intact are permitted.
  • No outside animals are allowed, except service animals.
  • Parking is included in the ticket price; no additional parking fee will be charged at the gate.
  • Guests may leave and re-enter with their ticket and a gate stamp.
  • Alcohol must be consumed within the rodeo grounds and may not be taken beyond the front gate.

Refunds & Exchanges

  • No refunds will be given on the day of the rodeo.
  • Tickets will not be refunded due to weather or seat availability.
  • Refund, transfer, or exchange requests must be made by Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at 11:59 PM.
  • Refunds are issued for the ticket price minus processing fees.
  • For exchanges, ticket holders are responsible for any price difference or additional fees.
